Quite a while ago, KidMag posted a recipe for a mug cake. This is essentially an updated version that is healthier. It is now gluten-free and uses a natural sweetener instead of sugar, but it is just as tasty!
To start, you’ll need:
Coconut Oil
Cocoa Powder
Almond Flour
Maple Syrup
Eggs
Milk
Vanilla Extract
Salt
Bowls
Mug
Spoon
Start by putting ¼ cup of coconut oil into a bowl.
Add two tablespoons of cocoa powder.
Add ⅓ cup of almond flour.
Add ¼ cup of maple syrup. This is our substitute for sugar.
In a separate bowl, crack one egg.
Add two tablespoons of milk and whisk.
Add ½ a teaspoon of vanilla extract to the egg and milk mixture.
Combine the two bowls together and pour your mixture into a microwavable mug.
Microwave until the desired consistency is reached. Start with a minute and twenty seconds and microwave it for longer if needed.
Enjoy!
